Another wet day meant our gardening club did some planting indoors. We planted some broad beans and designed some bug hotels, which we will hopefully begin to build in the Spring term.
On Monday, we welcomed back Brian from St Finbarr’s Hurling Club. The boys and girls really enjoyed their first hurling session in the glorious sunshine! ☀️
Congratulations to all our award winners this week!🌟
Today at assembly, we appointed our new Language Ambassadors for the year. Missing from the photo George, Hamelin and Herolin.
At long last we had sunshine for Gardening club! The pupils really enjoyed getting stuck in - weeding, tidying and even shooting some expected garden visitors (including some very big spiders). Great teamwork and lots of muddy hands today.
Rain couldn’t stop gardening club today. We got creative and made our own pots out of recycled newspaper, then planted cress heads that should sprout some wild hairstyles in the coming week. Can’t wait to see how they turn out!
Despite the rain, our P6/7 gardeners rolled up their sleeves today. Tidying, weeding and even sketching our outdoor space. A wonderful mix of hard work, creativity and muddy fun!
