Our last gardening club of the term! Our amazing P6/7 gardeners wrapped up the term today by getting the garden winter ready. Everyone worked hard tidying up the beds, raking leaves, and making sure the birds are cared for by topping up feeders and refreshing the bird baths.
Lots of muddy hands and happy faces at Gardening Club today! We dug up soil to start filling the garden beds and cleared the paths of leaves and debris after last week’s storm. Everyone loved getting stuck in, great teamwork and great fun!
A big thank you to Claire and Roisin from Cookstown Credit Union who came to talk to our pupils about the importance of saving. All the pupils were delighted to receive a goodie bag with helpful information about saving! 💰✨
Today, we appointed our new Digital Leaders, School Councillors and Eco Councillors. These roles are very important within our school, giving pupils the opportunity to share their ideas, take on responsibility and make a positive impact on school life. Throughout the year each group will have different roles to carry out, helping to make our school an even better place for everyone!
Another wet day meant our gardening club did some planting indoors. We planted some broad beans and designed some bug hotels, which we will hopefully begin to build in the Spring term.
