Fitness Freddy visited the school on Thursday 5th May. All pupils participated in exercise/dance sessions to all their favourite songs. Everyone had a brilliant time.
PSNI officer, Wendy Stevenson, visited the school on 28th April. She spoke to the P6 and P7 pupils about the importance of remaining safe online.
Rory Rushe, one of our P7 pupils, is captain of Cookstown Youth F.C. He recently led his team to success in the Blackpool Cup. We are all very proud of Rory’s achievements!
Today Steven Ward, the active Travel Officer for Sustrans, presented our school's Eco-council with a £100 voucher for Halfords. We won the voucher through our participation in The Big Walk and Wheel. We had 77% of our school participating in the event, which put us on top of the regional leaderboard for small primary schools in the North West region. A super effort by all children!
This week marked the end of Noreen Mitchell's career at St.Patrick's P.S. Noreen has worked as the school cook since 1974, almost half a century! On behalf of the whole school community, we made presentations to Noreen. Mid-Ulster Council acknowledged Noreen's service to the school by presenting her with a civic award. We all wish her good health and happiness in her retirement.
Congratulations to all the winners of the Easter Raffle. The raffle raised an amazing £300 for school funds! Many thanks to all who supported the raffle.
Yesterday morning our pupils were presented with certificates for various achievements during Term 2.
Congratulations to the P3 pupils who completed a six-week programme in Paired Reading. They made great progress.
