The P.7 pupils participated in their Farewell Assembly on Friday 24th June. We celebrated the pupils’ achievements and wished them well in their new post-primary schools. Staff, parents and pupils attended the emotional farewell. The entire school community is very proud of the P.7 pupils and we wish them good health and happiness in the future.
This morning our pupils were presented with certificates for various achievements during Term 3. These included Mathletics, Accelerated Reading, Millionaire Readers, Cycling Proficiency, Attendance and participation in Swimming. Well done everyone!
Today the Primary 5 and 6 pupils were given a fire safety talk by Marty from the fire service. They have been asked to go home tonight and test the fire alarms in their homes and shown how to be safe around fire hazards.
South Derry Track and Field
Today our Primary 5 and 6 athletics team had a very successful and enjoyable day in Meadowbank at the South Derry Track and Field competition. Everyone participated very well with great individual and team performances.

We were very fortunate to have such beautiful weather today for our final Sustrans activities of the year. The Primary 1 and 2 children took part in a treasure hunt while the rest of the classes took part in orienteering activities. Thank you to Steven Ward from Sustrans for leading these activities today, the children really enjoyed themselves.
The Key Stage 2 pupils went on their school trip to the Jet Centre on Tuesday 14th June. They worked well in their teams during bowling and they enjoyed the movie Sonic 2.
Yesterday our boys and girls had a great day at ‘The Aaron Devlin Memorial Football Tournament ’ in Ballinderry. Both teams participated very well and enjoyed playing lots of football. Thank you to Derrychrin Primary School for a very well organised tournament. Well done everyone!
Today we enjoyed Sports Day in the Recreation Centre. The pupils participated brilliantly in a range of events. Stephen Barker brought the Anglo-Celt Cup for pupils to view. We thank the parents of the school community for their attendance. We are most grateful to Eurospar Moneymore for contributing a range of healthy snacks for Sports Day.
Our Primary 3 and 4 pupils had a great day yesterday at Cookstown Leisure Centre for their school trip. They enjoyed bowling and had lots of fun in the Play Shack. Before going home they stopped off in McDonalds for lunch. Lots of happy faces 😀
